Hello all I am kind of new to silver collecting. I was fortunate enough to inheret some American Silver and I have decided to add to it as a collector. I have decided to go buy some foreign bullion in the last couple weeks to add some diversity and different things to look at. Here are my purchases let me know what you think.
1 oz lunar monkey 55$
2 oz lunar rat 2008 120$
1 oz 1999 Brittannia 1999 for 50$
2 Kookaburras for 45$
1 oz Krugerrand 1983 42$.
Anyway I really enjoy buying silver and hopefully will get more soon.

Many will say to high premiums up there, but I like all of what you have bought, and have bought much of the similar items. I have not gotten a Kruger yet, but got them on the list as well, and that is a good price on it right now at 42, ebay I am guessin?

The higher premiums hurt your wallet now, but in the long run you will be prosperous, as they bring more as well later on, esp as silver is gonna move up eventually....

Welcome to the sight an happy collecting....

Good deal, never hurts to make some connections from your local shop. Form a relationship that is good for both....

I see where many collector/hoarders here have their coin dealer call them when something comes in that they wanna offer their good customer at a fair price. That helps the dealer make a little for little effort perhaps, an the buyer gets a good deal as well, so all party's are happy. All any of us can hope for on any buy/sell transaction....

Don't forget silver proofs from the mint. I think a good deal not much under spot for some.
