VF 35 for both of them based on ribbon and wear on lower locks of hair

Could the 1899 be a grade higher due to the fact that it does have some diamond markings left on the ribbon?

I would guess VF-35 on the first and EF-40 on the second.

I think VF-35 on both coins. Lower curl is connected to ribbon on both coins. I think both are nice coins for the grade.

Where do you get pricing for the VF 35? I use numismedia, RedBook, and the grey sheet.

I think both are up there around VF30-35. Perhaps the 1906 is a good comparison of VF30 to VF35 on the 1899?

I can see the difference between the 2. But, where do you find these grades? Red Book & Numismedia do not list the grades in between.
