Purchased this slabbed at a below cost of what it is "suppose to be worth." I couldn't see a clear picture of it online, so newbie me went ahead and bought it. It has been graded by the National Numismeatic Certification, and from past posts here I see some negative remarks. I didn't buy from the man associated on ebay with it. This person has a 100% feedback and bought it himself from an auction. However, once in hand it looks of a lessor quality with the nicks on the arm and other pitting. Could this have been cleaned? I'm now concentrating on pennies, and want have been cataloging all I have come across to pass down. So, I want to get all graded as close as possible. I value all your opinions. Thus far I've learned quite a bit on grading. Thanks in advance for taking a look at this.

The coin looks like it could have been dipped at one time, but still has luster.

NNS, NTS, and a number of additional companies' holders have shown up on the market of late, and none of them are respected grading companies like NGC, PCGS, ICG, and ANACS. If you buy in anything other than those four holders, completely ignore the grade on the label and grade the coin yourself. If you cannot grade, avoid those holders altogether because 99.9% of them are "wrong" according to the four respected companies I listed.
