Hit a park yesterday that I have not been to in about a year. Got $1.65 in copper and clad along with a chrome plated copper fake diamond ring and my first ever gold, a 10K with what looks like rubies with a few stones missing.

ive got a small detector I picked up for $150 a year back.

has a few settings on it that separates, IRON, AL ZN, 5c, and COINS...

and a depth setting, SHALLOW medium and deep.. just wondered if you think mine would work at parks. kinda a broad question, sorry.

Nice find!
The rubies appear shallow-cut and around .25-.3ct each?
The color doesn't look synthetic, and syns are usuallly bigger/deeper cut.
You might as well remove and hold onto them--you won't get a fair price at a jeweler.

Nice Finds! I see you found no nickels but found the rings. I am working on my discrimination settings and wonder how you were set up? Thanks for sharing your finds!
