Hello, Please take a look at these two PF GAE's.
The 04 looks smaller to me. It it just the style of the holder giving it the illusion its smaller. The 2010 was purchased from the mint. But the 04 was won on ebay. I'm cringing...lol I did check their system and the numbers good. I know it doesn't take much to just look up these numbers to copy. I guess should I crack this thing out to weigh it and measure it. Thanks for all your help.

I think what you are seeing is the illusion from the bigger holder next to the smaller one.

If you could determine the expected weight of the holder it's in, then you could weigh it in the holder and subtract the expected weight of the holder to see what the approx. weight of the coin is. Should be pretty close. If it's not within a reasonable range, then you might want to crack it for more extensive testing.

100% sure it is just an optical illusion. Just like when you see the moon rise vs. The moon overhead. Most people will say the moon at moon rise is bigger. Both are exactly the same size. Try it sometime, hold out a ruler at arms length and measure the moon's width at "moon rise" and then again when it is overhead. Both will measure the same, your brain just makes some false assumptions when the moon is up against the monochrome background of the overhead sky ( appearing smaller, like your 04 coin) vs. when it is near a point of reference like the horizon ( appearing larger, like your 2010 coin)
