I had the option to pick porcelain, silver or gold. I thought about it long and hard, and finally went with gold:)

Yes folks - she declined (and laughed) when I offered to bring my own precious metal to save on the costs. I told her she can pick a lovely 2.5 Gram Pamp Suisse Gold Bar, or some gorgeous .9999 silver, and even a platinum (7 gram Engelhard bar).

Anyways, I like the gold teeth I got installed today. Not bad at all!

Nice I've got one of those myself, after about 20 years its got a little hole wearing through it. At least they don't crack like porcelain. Its a good industrial use for gold.

Is that like carrying a gold reserve with you anywhere you go?

Just don't smile if you ever get robbed or don't visit downtown Philly.

What was the difference in price if I may ask? I need two crowns and would love to put some gold in the back of my mouth.

The total procedure costed $3,200 dollars (parts, labor & taxes). With insurance, my out of pocket cost was $800...$400 bucks a tooth. This involved a crown & one root canal which by default has a crown. These were installed in the upper jaw area and were next door to each other...it's hidden well. When I look back in there, I see a big chunk of gold metal in my mouth bonded with flesh & gums...like a Terminator style mouth. Kind of eerie but cool. I like it. I asked her out of all metals, which one does she recommend? She immediately replied gold due to its durability, wear & tear, force (especially in the back) and lasting qualities. She went on and on about gold. I was sold when I started collection gold bullion so no need to sell it to me. I just took a Vicodin, but yeah, it gave me a new meaning to precious metal
