Series1996 $100 With Ink Smudges/Runs?

jstottmann New Member United States 19 Posts	Posted 08/18/2011 12:34 am I came across this $100 bill which looks like it was over inked during one of the printings. You can see where the ink bleeds through the back of the bill. Any guesses as to what happened to this bill? Is it worth keeping or have a premium? Report this Post to the Staff

John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 08/18/2011 06:18 am I wouldn't keep it for three reasons.1-there is an ink mark on the left front of the bill.2-there is a mark from a counterfeit note checking marker and third because it's a 100 note,that's a lot of money to keep tied up.IMHO. Wasn't sure if it would be worth throwin on ebay. Probably just put it back in the account. Report this Post to the Staff

It is a marker that would change to a black color if the note was a fake. On the note posted the mark stayed a yellow color meaning tne note is real. John1 Report this Post to the Staff
