Hi, I'm trying to learn how to take good pictures of my coins. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make my pictures look better using a Canon PowerShot SX120 IS.

Alright thanks for the support. I'm going to try to take some pictures and see how they turn out.

After taking a general picture like the first one in your thread, I saved it onto my coumpter. When I right click and go under properties, I don't see the summary tab. I see General, Resorces, Details.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

That's probably because you're using a more modern operating system than I. I'm living in the prehistoric WinXP days.

What operating system are you using?

I love WinXP. I just uploaded the photo to my laptop which runs Vista. I can upload the photo to my desktop and try from there.

Well, the details to be accessed there aren't really relevant in the sense that you're going to be using software to resize and (maybe) reduce the quality of the images for posting; all that pertinent data will be available in your processing software. The rest, the EXIF data, is kinda pixel-peeping anyways.

Are you using manual settings on your camera?
