Roll Hunting Question - Coin Community Forum

kylecolb Valued Member United States 438 Posts	Posted 08/20/2011 2:40 pm After hitting up many banks and credit unions today getting rolls of dimes, I started to ponder. Are the chances of getting silver/rare/error etc. coins better when searching through automatic machine rolled rolls that the banks ship in, or "hand" rolled bank rolls that are rolled at the banks? What do you all prefer? I guess I have never kept track of this, but it might be a good time to start to add to the stats. Report this Post to the Staff

Kefiroth Pillar of the Community United States 1431 Posts	Posted 08/20/2011 2:49 pm I believe that the consensus is that while there may be a slightly bigger chance of scoring a large cache of good stuff in hand-rolled rolls, the find rates are typically about the same.
