while trying to recoup from a rainy day I was laying in bed and my wife brought me this small white bubble mailer and asked me what I had ordered and where I got the money to do so, I assured her I hadn't ordered anything (all the time I was wondering myself if I may have in one of my medicated states and not remember it). I tore open the package and reached in to pull the contents from the package and there was a beautiful 1921 Morgan and a piece of paper (with a Santa border) that read "Merry Christmas, Bryan! Have a fantastic holiday season!! With Love From Your Coin Community Family" and another piece of paper from Leroy Van Allen explaining the VAM designation of the coin ( I remembered Susan asking about this coin on the forums and remember her sending it out to Leroy, and remember her saying she was going to keep it, which made it that much more special). So I jumped out of bed to rush in the living room to show my wife what it was and she didn't quite understand why it was sent to me nor did she understand why I was tearing up but I guess it is just the feeling of having friends that care so much to send something to you at a time when you were really having a hard time making ends meet and the feeling of someone just caring enough to think of you when they have their own lives probably going crazy around this time of year like everyone elses. Anyway I wanted to let not only Bobby and Susan know how much this gift meant to me but also to let the whole Coin Community know how much each and everyone of them mean to me and the friendship I feel with all of you, no matter how bad I am feeling or how much I talk out the side of my neck because of the meds the doctor has me on you all make me feel like part of a family that even though spans through quite a few countries are still very close and caring to each other. I was wanting to participate in the "Secret Santa" program we had going on here on the forum but was having a real rough time (an still am for that matter) and was afraid I wouldn't even have the money for postage even if I sent something from my collection and didn't want to let all of you down. I had saved for a specific thing and was happy that even though I wasn't able to participate in the program I was able to give someone from the forums a gift which is what I was saving for and even though it wasn't drawn randomly I still hope it means a fraction to them of what this coin means to me. I want to thank each and everyone on this forum for not only making me feel welcome when I asked some pretty stupid questions and for putting up with me even when I was having a bad day from the pain and took it out on the ones I felt closest to the other forum members. Thanks again for everything and Bobby and Susan even though my daughter has already said this coin is one for her collection it will never leave mine and each and every time I look at it I will always remember the day my wife brought me the package and I opened it and the feeling of closeness I feel with the friends I have never met on the Coin Community Forums. Thanks again,

Karma is a wonderful thing, Bryan. You have just reaped some of the goodwill you have sown here. So what VAM is it, darnit?

Oh sorry, it is a VAM-32 with the right obverse stars tripled to quadrupled and with doubled left stars and with a slightly doubled date

What Terry said!!
I "belong" to several coin forums.
But I seldom make use of the others.
This is my "home," and Susan and Bobby are two of the primary reasons why I feel that way.
So many wonderful people make up this forum!!

I'm so glad you like the coin. You aren't the only one who "teared up" over this. Your post went straight to my heart. Bobby and I cannot take the credit for this, though. The coin was donated to the forum by one of our members. He has asked that his name not be mentioned. It was truly sent to you from your entire forum family. We just put it into the mailer and mailed it. The thing that makes our forum special is the warmth and friendship that pervades here. Truly, this is a beautiful thing. I also love it that, although we can't be together for the holiday season, we can still find ways to share it with each other. Whatever holiday you each celebrate, may it be a happy and peaceful one and know that your CC family cares about each and every one of you.
