I know nothing about this coin, except it is (maybe) taken from Anatolia.I searched but couldn't find any information about it. Please somebody tell me the year it was made, which country and what is the name of the emperor on the back side of the coin. And what does it worth? I hope these photos can help.

to the community.

This appears to be a Sestertius of the first Roman emperor Augustus (27 BC- 14 AD). On the obverse the legend shoould read AVGVSTVS, and the reverse is CA ( Caesar Augustus). in a wreath. RIC 1 #501. The coin appears to be genuine, but it has also been widely copied.

I see noting about this coin that suggests it may be a fake. It looks genuine and in fine condition to me. echizento has attributed it properly (he always does).

Nice coin. I would gladly place it in my collection.

The portrait is very nice. The worth of a coin is subjective and its hard to tell the worth without having it in hand. Examples in excellent condition have sold for as high as $500 US. Take a look at this page:

I hope this helps

You are more than welcome. Many of us enjoy the attribution process almost as much as owning the coin. ALMOST!!. Really though, any coin you have that you may have questions about, please ask.

Regards,

JW
