There are two versions of the shilling for George VI and Elizabeth II.

My "English" one reads "47"
and the "Scottish" one "47."

The English version has the Lion standing sideways on the Crown, and on the Scottish the Lion is sitting, facing, on the Crown.

I've never heard of anything being mentioned about "dot" or "no dot". My Scottish version for 1947 has a "dot", but the "English" doesn't.

Sorry, I can't check all dates, as I only collect shillings by type.

Bill.
