Hello and welcome to the forum

Your two "coins" aren't really coins. They're jetons, made in Nuremberg, Germany but found all over Europe and especially in Britain. The UK Detector Finds Database website has a page on Nuremberg jetons, what they were used for and the different types that can be found.

Your top coin is one of the "Orb" types, while the bottom one is a "ship penny".

Wow, thank you very much!
is it possible that the first one is made of gold? it has more wieght than the other one, is there any form of test I could do? it would be cool to have a rare one although from what I can gather it's quite a common design so I'm skeptical. Anyway thanks for the help and for the welcome . I have some old coins that i'll put on soon, thanks again

No. That coin is quite corroded from being buried underground for a few hundred years. Gold doesn't corrode like that. It's heavier only because it's thicker.

Sorry.

Ahhh yes of course, thank you very much for all the help i'd have been lost forever as I was still searching for coins :L although I did get the region of the date correct so my Archaeology A level isn't completely wasted hahaha, And looking on around the internet at that specific type of jeton (the gold coloured one) is they're any reason it's thicker? all the other ones I've seen of that type are consistently as thin as the latter jeton I have posted, regardless they're still very awesome :)
