Hi everybody,

Just got my first British half-crown from ebay.
Weight is 13.66 gr ...
Is it right weight for the condition of the coin?
The SG test result is 10.35 which I think is ok for .925 silver.
Any thoughts?
Thank you.

Thank you Peter for your reply.
Not sure about chop-mark, the letters are WB (B may stand for "bank").
My concern is that the coin is underweight.
If our coins could speak ...
... as long as they don't speak Chinese :)

I believe it is real, first of all its interesting because George III was fat and the first issues of the half-crown (yours), were displeasing to him so he changed the look of it, making the die one more appealing (without shoulders).

That coin sells in the likes of $50 to $450, circulated. Yours, if graded well, could sell for $100+. (If that mark doesn't affect the value)
