Hello all, just found this in a bank roll and it does not have the shine of a proof. Its a 1976 S Kenndy half and has a dull look to it, and is normal weight for the 40% half. Thank you for the help.

In addition to the 40% Proofs, there are also 1976-S 40% "Brilliant Uncirculated" Kennedies (and also Ikes and Quarters) that were minted for collectors. It might very well be that you have one of those, and if so, congratulations!

Not a proof but you do have a good one- uncirculated 40% silver Bicentennial coins were available in a 3 coin Mint Set. You have a Kennedy from ones of those Mint Sets that someone broke apart and inexplicably spent.

or from a stolen collection, as that seems to be happening more and more... nonetheless, great find... If only I could find more silver bicentenials instead of clad ones...

A beautiful regular uncirculated Kennedy coin. A proof one looks different from the this one.
