Not sure if this is the correct forum for this.

I have been sucked into the Maw of this new fad called Facebook. Whilst there I have discovered this on-line sale section called yardsellr All I can say is wow only about 20% of the listing I have viewed are priced even close to retail most are way overpriced. Coins are sure not being listed at yard sale prices. It does however explain why I have a lot of my recent requests for coin evaluations have been met with denial and disbelief.. Has anyone here used this venue for buying or selling coins with any success?

I registered for the site and get the , well, alerts for lack of a better word. This past weekend one of those alerts was for a 1968 mint set. The guy was asking $100. I gave him the link to the Numismedia page that listed the FMV at $8. His response was that if I would get them graded they would be worth at least $200 and thanked me for looking. I have surfed that site on several occasions and found it to be more of a waste of time than anything else.

I think this might become a new form of entertainment for me I respect peoples right to ask what they want for merchandise just not the attempts to mislead.

This path leads to initial amusement, followed immediately by excruciating frustration and migraine headaches. Strongly advise that you take up the practice of banging your head against solid things as a more palatable alternative.
