I found my 3rd incuse flag over Christmas. I will keep searching for all the goodies I can find. Incuse flags, mules, wavy 2's love them all.
Happy new year everyone!

I'm sure that if I went back and read every post carefully, I would find the answer.

However, just let me ask. Is there an estimate as to how many of these coins might exist?

The Australian coin price guide, Macca's only says 'a very small number'. That doesn't help very much does it?

Well success again. Today I was lucky enough to find another 'wavy 2' and I am very very happy. I think it is number 6 I have now. I have been keeping stats on how many found for number of coins searched lately. I will post the details for wavy's soon. Just had to share . How is everybody else going in the wavy search lately? They are still my favourite coin!

I search on average, 370 X 20˘ per week, so for 2 years that's 38480 coins searched, so far I've found zero!

The figure searched would be much higher really, but I can't remember exactly when I started searching through coins. At a guess I'd say well over 50,000.

Maybe one day soon! All good things come to those who search..and search..and search..!

I'm sure there are people who just attract these 'error coins'. There's a member of the Aussie forum who is jokingly called the "magnet" due to the sheer number of $1 mules he's found.

Speaking of $1 mules, I've never found one of them either. I do have one though and I also have one 'Wavy'. Both were Chrissy pressies last year.

Well I have done the stats!! I have been keeping records for the coins I have searched through this year. This year I have found 4 wavy 2's. I have searched through 92150 20c coins. So that is finding one every 23038 coins. The biggest gap between finding one was around 39700 coins and the smallest 6750 coins.

Of course before the last 'wavy' was found the stats were more like one found every 28717 coins. Still less than your 50000 coins though Nancy. I guess I'm lucky! Well sort of.
