Sorry it's taken so long to respond to this thread. I've been staying with my parents while I've been ill, and they don't have access to the Internet. Thank you, thingee, for the coins that you have already sent me! You are a very generous member.
Rest in Peace

Thingee, Thanks so much for the Statehood Quarters you sent. They will shortly be added to my albums.

Snooba, I hope you are over your illness, and doing well.

Hello. I just got hooked up again online. Hopefully things will be okay with my new provider.
Snooba, I hope you are feeling better now. If you don't mind me asking what is your illness? You don't need to reply if you don't want to. But I hope your recovery will soon come. I'm glad you like the coins. The ones you sent me are great! Let me know when you get the other coins when you are able to do so.
Gary I'm glad you like the quarters!
scoutjim, I got your delivery this past Saturday. I wasn't expecting it and it was a real surprise! Thank you!
Brissyboy, I will send you an email within the next few days about the $2 notes. It's good to be back.

At first I just thought I had a case of the 'flu that wouldn't go away. But after lots and lots of tests, and specialist appointments in Melbourne, I have discovered that I have an auto-immune disease that is carried through the female side of my family.

At the moment my specialist is trying to stave off liver failure. But as I always say, yellow is the new black! Fortunately I was diagnosed early enough that I haven't suffered any heart damage, which apparently is quite common. I am now very, very glad that I have a son only and no daughters! My sisters' are also being tested to see if they carry the disease as well.

At the moment the doctor is trying out various doses of medication and monitoring my liver function, because if left untreated or if the dose of medicine is too low I might lapse into a coma. However, my parents are helping enormously, my son is happy and healthy, and I'm confident that I'll be better one day, and those are the most important things!

Snooba,
So sorry to hear that. It sounds like you have a good attitude in dealing with it and that can be a major help in the fight itself. I certainly wish you a quick recovery and I know I will be saying a special prayer for you. Get well soon my friend.
