My daughter brought $10 worth of pennies Yesterday, in just the 2nd roll I found this. Is it the forerunner

No, it's a different die. The brightly cleaned coin in the last photo is die #1. The other photos are probably die #3 but could be die #8. Can't tell without much closer photos. There are ten different known doubled die obverses for 1972 Philly cents.

I'm impressed Coppercoins and disapointed. Your right. When I put that coin in the album, thought I had a nice one. What I thought was polishing lines are scratches. If put it next to a nice shiny 2006 you can really see the difference in the surface area. Thanks.
