I will stick my head out there. I feel it is defiantly not uncirculated and it might be cleaned.

there is something about that coin that I can't put my finger on that makes me very suspicious about this coin. I can't seem to figure out exactly what it is about this coin but my gut is telling me to stay away from it so I would never bid on it myself even though I don't know exactly what looks weird to me. It doesn't look like it has any hits on the coin so it may grade pretty high. It may just be the frosty fields that makes this one look weird to me, just not sure because nothing is jumping out screaming its fake, it just looks unusual. If this coin is problem free and actually looks like it does in the picture you would think someone would have already sent it in for grading because it has a clean portrait and fields that looks to be mark free and even a 1882-CC would be worth the grading fees especially when there is a chance of a real high grade

I would probably pass on this coin as this date is not too hard to find. As already mentioned, something about this coin does not look right. The luster feels a little bit off and the hair is lacking in details. This date usually comes well struck and for the amount of luster it has, I would expect to see more details.

Many of this seller's coins have that frosty appearance to them. Of the ones that are circulated due to obvious wear, ask yourself, How is it possible for a coin to get worn without the associated dings, hits, dirt and other PMD that should be associated with a circulated coin?
