Well, I don't have the coin in hand, but I trust the dealer a lot and he's told me that his pictures represent the coin nicely. Anyone care to assign a grade? And for the even crazier people out there, you wanna try to attribute it? (I know it already, but I just want to see if anyone out there attributes R.E. busties) Needless to say, I'm pretty ecstatic about this coin. The second in my collection of bust halves, and it fills the hole in my 7070 nicely until I find a better example. Only 98 more to go before admission into the bust half nut club is mine!

I would give AU 55 $$ for this. I can't really judge the fields due to the photos, but I am guessing that the texture I and graininess is toning and not pitting or corrosion. With the coin in hand I may go 2 grades higher.
If so, I would be excited about this one also!

I would have thought somewhere in the VF to XF40 range. The rim wear appears to be too much for AU. However I just started collecting Capped Busts. Its a nice coin thats for sure. fegk-I am definitely interested in what the attribution is as this is what is so appealing to me about the Capped Bust and Seated Liberty coins.

I start with the rims, but don't end there. The devices are very good on this coin.

It's a reeded edge, so they aren't attributed by overton number. Only the slightly eccentric people out there will attribut them, and thankfully the seller did it already for me. If I'm not mistaken, it's a JR-6a, an R1.

I'll take some pictures of the coin in hand. Amac-nice bustie. My overton book is still in the mail, so I can't attribute it for you. VF seems about right. Would it be worth my time to send my CBH to pcgs/ngc?

This is an area that I really need some education on. Jim, What is it you see that leads you to think the toning looks like the toning created after a cleaning.
