This is an AS of the emperor Antoninus Pius 138-161 AD. I believe the obverse reads ANTONINVS AVG PP COS III and the reverse is ANNONA AVG COS III.

You are correct I mistyped and left it out, should read ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP COSIII. Reverse being Annona standing holding hand over a modius & holding a branch over a fruit basket. The closest example I was able to come up with was for an AS. I wasn't able however to come up with a RIC#

This is a guess on my part, but probably worth $30-$40. I don't think it is super rare, but perhaps someone else knows for sure. Good luck

With the way prices have been lately on ancients, I wouldn't be surprised to see this sell $60-$80.

coin is in better condition than was seen in the photograph. I think it has a much higher price. especially as I personally found it.

Since you personally found it, it has to be worth much more to you than on the open market. I believe if I found one like that, I would not want to part with it, no matter what the price. Well, I suppose even then I would have some limits . Congratulation on such as nice find. Ledt me know if you would like to get rid of it , JW

Thank you. I did something special attached to it. I may give up with a decent price.

I have been informed your coin's attribution is as follows:
RIC 921 sear5 #4294
Antoninus Pius AE As. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS PP TRP XVII, laureate head right / ANNONA AVG COS IIII S-C, Annona standing right holding modius on cippus and branch above a basket of fruit
As to the market value, I'm afraid the consensus is lower value mainly because of the appearance of harsh cleaning techniques. The value to you, though, as the finder, is much greater, and thus I believe you should keep the coin. Good luck

JW

You are so right about that. The question remains though, is the price received for the item that which one might have higher expectations. Or, maybe better said, is the price realized more than what it is worth to you, the finder. Only you can say.
Regards,
JW
