After going through more of my Father in Laws things today I found this Morgan. He had been a coin dealer for years and this may be real but I am not 100% sure because I normally am suspicious of any high dollar coin. I'd appreciate some feedback. I know the scans may not be great but I will have to try and take some actual picts soon.Coin does have more luster than the scans show. Thanks

I am leaning towards not genuine. The date looks very weird and the details especially on the reverse look mushy.

I agree; the coin is a fake.

The date alone is a big give-away.

A real US Minted Morgan has much more uniform numbers.

Def a fake. I see evidence of it being a cast below "One" on the reverse.

Yeah it's gotta be a fake as I just got a scale and it's almost 2 grams more than a Morgan is supposed to. Guess I know why my Father in law had it pulled aside. Oh well guess I'll have to buy a real one lol.
