It was part of a lot I bought on ebay,if I count the rest as bullion I paid 21 bucks for it,VG10
It's scratched and dinged, but it's way cool, well worth the price

Absolutely...that's a fantastic find :)...

I struck gold recently with a 70 coin lot of 1859 cents I got from RCNA auction at $3.50 each, finding 6 repunched 9s including a DP9 #2, #3 in F and a #5 in VF, and 4 repunched 5s.

I've never bought any quarter lots but now strongly considering it :)..

I sent my G6 1872 25c A/V to CCCS for hard slabbing. :)

Examined this coin with higher magnification today
The missing crossbar in "A" appears to be due to damage that has since toned over
Not like faint or missing crossbars found on 1874H
Still a cool looking A/V

Yep...I'm not aware of any missing crossbar As variety for the 1872s.

The 1872 varieties I actively collect are:
1. A/V VICTORIA with repunched N/N in CANADA
2. Repunched N/N in CANADA only (earlier die state)
3. Repunched N/N in CANADA - repunched to the right (unpublished and perhaps unknown...one day I will reveal it ;).
4. Repunched A/A in VICTORIA
5. Repunched 7/7 in 1872
