Hello All,

This is my first post. Are there any royalty free coin images I can use in a phone app that I will be creating?

I have already created a couple of games for the Windows Phone 7 marketplace and would like to create a simple coin collecting app.

I would like to show the obverse and reverse of US coins. I started collecting coins at the age of 10 and currently have a simple type collection.

While I could photograph/scan the coins in my collection, I believe I will not be able to do so with high quality.

I would like to get images for the major types of US coins and possibly each type in its various states of condition.

You could see if you could use the images on coinpage, I'm not sure if their conditions work with your intended use, you probably need to contact them: http://www.coinpage.com/terms.html

wikipedia also has lots of coin images, you have to attribute them to the photographer, but there is no monetary cost http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/C...nited_States

Thanks Lorax!

I checked out the first link you provided and sent an email to CoinPage for clarification on the use of their images.

I then looked at your second link. It appears that I did not need to send an email to CoinPage.

I tried a wikipedia search before but had problems finding the coins needed. I was finding coins, but only a few at a time. The link you provided shows a nice large collection of coins referenced by a single link. It appears that wikipedia will be the perfect choice for images for my app.

Thank for the help!
