Tonight, I won an Indian Head Whitman folder with 41 or so coins in it. There were some that weren't in too terrible shape, while there were a few culls. There were quite a few from the 70's and on, even a 1909. (No 1877 Though ) Dates 1857 - Flying Eagle (Rim Damage) 1858 Large Date - Flying Eagle (Rim Ding at 6-7 O'Clock Obverse) 1859 1862 1863 (Corrosion) 1865 1867 1872 (Cleaned - Very odd appearance) 1874 1875 1876 1878 1879 1880 1881 1882 (Pitting) 1883 1884 1887 1888 1889 1890 1891 1892 1893 1894 1895 1896 1897 1898 1899 1900 1901 1902 1903 1904 1905 1906 1907 1908 1909 Edited by SilverTurtle 09/02/2011 6:00 pm

Very nice prize. Even in rough shape, that's $40 worth of Indians.

Looks like you're well on your way to complete this set. Not too many to upgrade and not too many that will be very expensive save for the 1877 of course. Ed ANA Lm-3175

I'm jealous! I need a lot of those right now, especially semi-keys. I'm working on the set, but only have the keys so far and a few stragglers. Quote:

Don't forget the 1909s, price is close to the "king" although many more better grade coins are available. I also would say worth much more than $40. Those two FEC's may be worth $40 alone, unless ther're really low grade culls. IHC's have been my obsession for the last several months and I'm down to the last 2 keys. Could take a while to raise the $1500 for those but this is one set I'm determined to complete. Congrats on the beginning of a great classic US coin set!

Nice! I suspect the fact that it was sold as a collection made a lot of people overlook it that might be looking for specific coins, to your benefit. Edit: Nevermind. I thought it would be ebay. You posted that response between when I started my post and I hit post!
