Postage Delays After Hurricane Irene?

I have lots of items outstanding to the US from the UK posted the middle of last month.

Was just wondering if others have any experience on the problems (receiving or sending) and lengths of delays? My buyers are starting to get twitchy!

The UK and US Post Offices say the backlog is minimal but they said this last Christmas when the printer cartridge bombs were found and it took some airmail items 6 weeks to be delivered - after that, and the refunds I had to give I dont trust them.


If this is better in General Discussion could a Mod please move it.

Some stuff I ordered on ebay (two different purchases) should have been here yesterday or maybe even Wednesday, but it's still not here today, so I'd say yes.

I am waiting for some packages from the US and waiting to hear from buyers in the US and they are taking...extraordinarily long, to the point where I am getting stressed as well.
