While I'm looking for the the right examples of key dates in the right condition for the right price, I'm picking up some of the other medium difficulty branch mint Mercury dimes when I see some I like. I want to make sure my own grading is calibrated, but on a few of these, I'm concerned they might have been cleaned.

Not all the hairlines run in one direction (the lighting makes it look like that), but I don't know if they're just ordinary wear from being circulated or if I'm looking at a cleaned coin, or if I'm just being overly paranoid.

I've got a couple others I'm posting with the same concerns.

This is the most cleaned-looking of the group, but the '26-S is the one I am most paranoid about because it's the scarce one. In hand the other three don't look bad, but I don't want anything to do with cleaned coins in this set.

VF35, and the motto "In God we Trust" looks suspect.

If you don't mind, can you say who sold you this batch of cleaned Mercs? He looks like someone to avoid.

I'm gonna see how they handles the return before I start badmouthing them. They have a lot of positive feedback and very little negative. In hand they don't look to bad at first, so I can see how someone could make the mistake honestly if they deal in a large volume of coins (these seemed to have been all part of the same collection that was being broken up).
