This is from the Mint's web site:

"2006 marks the inaugural year of the American Eagle Gold Uncirculated Coin Program. Struck on specially burnished blanks, these coins offer precious metal purchasers a new collectible version of the popular American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins and feature a finish similar to their bullion coin counterparts."

In what ways are these different from bullion coins? Sorry to be dumb.

It had W- mint mark, higher price and sold directly from mint, while the bullion coins don't.
