Dave and Muddler,
Here are a couple more that I love. Just got the Gettysburg in today after the USPS misrouted it to God knows where for a week. Whew! Both are graded MS64:

You are much closer to a complete set than I am, but I got one of these.

I agree with you on the ding, but NGC didn't seem to mind. I will live with it since I've already busted it out of the slab and gave it its new home next to Deleware.

PG, It looks like a great example probably in the 62 range. This series was not struck or handled well at the mint and most all have marks. Yours has some but nothing major, not a bad price either congratulations.

My Missouri was purchased raw and I would put it at MS 63, it has a fairly visible scuff in the observe field that the photo does not show.

Sorry for the late reply ... spent most of my weekend at work ... home now and beat up!

Wow ... lots of great PG coins here ... so I'll do my best with limited energy to share what I can ...

I'm thinking the Hudson is perhaps MS62/MS63 ... nice luster ... but lots of visible chatter in the fields ... indeed a great coin and one of the three truly 'rare' classic silver commemorative with 10,000 or less mintage.

Compare the fields and strike to my PCGS MS66/CAC example ... a very tough coin to find in honest higher grade!

Four-Early-Commems-To-Go...-It's-Getting-Painful!

I have always enjoyed both of those civil war commemorative! ... and believe both of yours are fairly graded at MS64. Excellent coins indeed PG.

Compare to my PCGS MS65/CAC Gettysburg ...

Four-Early-Commems-To-Go...-It's-Getting-Painful!

Your Antietam is lovely ... one of my favorite classic silver commemorative designs and I salute you for finding some a nice example!

My 'best' classic commemorative is a PCGS MS67/CAC Antietam ... not wishing to steal your thread ... you can find photos of this coin on the CCF if you wish.

I do need that Cincinnati ... holding out for a blast white MS66 example ...

Great coins PG in pursuit of a great series ... not many folks pursue this series and I recognize and personally relate to the effort ... and cost ... it takes to find such nice coins.

Many Thanks for the photos ... and best wishes for the final few you need!

David

And then there were TWO! Just won a raw Missouri with some really nice fields and toning. Here's my Vermont which I also bought raw from a local dealer/friend. It has a ton of depth to the strike and lots of brighty whitey luster. Would appreciate comments/opinions as to grade. At 65 or higher, this coin really climbs in value.. PG

Congratulations on your Missouri! I have always liked the Jaguar on the Vermont, your coin is considerably better than mine, thanks for showing it.

While we're at it, here's another raw buy that looks like a winner. Opinions on grade greatly appreciated as always... PG

My Wisconsin seems to have inconsistent fields with areas that look like the die was not polished completely leaving a field that is not smooth. Does this appear on your coin too?

No. The fields are great in the Wisconsin and exhibit a lot of mint luster in all of them...

Just thought this might interest some of you folks, theres an auction at the end of the month at DNW in london, which has an American section which includes a complete collection of commemoratives - they describe it as 'complete for every date and mintmark between 1892 - 1954' Google DNW, its the world coin sale on the 28th of this month
