I logged on before noon to be sure I knew what I was doing as this was my first direct buy. Up until 11:45 there were zero issues logging on. I even posted on the matter. If someone had issues logging on at 9am it was in their end and not the mint.

Are dealers able to get more than the 5 set max? I see a guy selling 25 sets as a group. If they limit it to 5 sets, do they make exceptions for dealers? That's the biggest reason a lot of people couldn't get their sets, if that is right.

No, but dealers will have all of their employees, kids, cousins, etc. order them.

But the auction said the 25 sets would come in one box from the mint, unless he just said that and it will be 5 separate boxes.

Yeah, he says "boxes" then shipped all together in one box.

Wait, so there is a difference between a conformation number and an order number? I'm afraid maybe mine wont go through. My order number is 38363XXX. Does anyone know if numbers in this range will be fulfilled? I ordered at around 3:30 PM Eastern Time

I'm sorry theirs no way in heehaw I'd ever send a sealed box too a TPG. PCGS or NGC. I'm going to see what I send them, This way I know my hard earned money isn't supporting their VIP clients. I can't believe more people aren't outraged by this. My order number and receipt isn't enough for matching labels hhuunnhhh I'm sorry but its got con written all over it. Theirs no way their not going to try and keep their big spenders spending with a percentage of other peoples best coins. And the worst thing is you'll never know! If you submit 5 sealed boxes can you have them mix and match for a perfect set, or is each coin part of its own set?

I spent over 3 hours trying to get 1 set. I finally got an email confirmation at 4:45 pm. When I checked this evening, I saw that the mint posted about 4:30 that all sets were sold. I never saw a waiting list message on the site. I was probably past that point in the process. But now I wonder if I am going to actually get the set or not. My order number is 38375xxx.

If you submit five sealed sets you will get back 25 slabbed and graded coins. They are no longer bound into sets once the boxes are opened, which is why they require you to send sealed sets if you want all of the coins to carry the 25th anniversary set labels. You can send coins from opened sets if you want but only the reverse proof and the S mark uncirc will get 25th anniversary labels. If you open a set, there is no reason to send anything but the coins because they will treat an opened set just like it was five raw coins. They would have no way of knowing where the 3 non-unique coins came from, since all three are already available and MS/PR70s are very common for the two W mint mark coins. Since about half of 2011 SAE proof and uncircs graded so far are 70s, and since the bullion coins in this set were minted in SF specifically for inclusion in the sets (so it may be close to half 70s too), it is very possible that if you send five sets in for grading that you will be able to assemble two perfect sets and one perfect has a very high probability of occurring. I really don't believe that PCGS, NGC, or any other top TPG would risk being shut down to give your best coins to someone else. Any attempt to do that would result in arrests for some and publicity that would kill the company. For whatever reason, ANACS has decided not to place anniversary set labels on any coins but the reverse proof and the S uncircs and does not want the mint packaging because of this. NGC has stated that they will label all sets as early release unless you specifically ask them not to. I placed 5 orders for 1 set each as follows: 38326xxx @ 12:14ET 38330xxx @ 12:34ET 38335xxx @ 13:03ET 38339xxx @ 13:26ET 38346xxx @ 14:10ET

Perfessor- I believe some of the first orders were in the 38324XXX order number range- that'd put you about 51,000 orders in. As many people that were ordering the max of five sets, I'm afraid what they may update your order status to in the coming days.
I placed two orders of one set by accident around noon central time. had multiple tabs open on my browser. Apparently both those orders got through. My first one 38336XXX was the first, the second was 38334XXX. Guess what? My first, lower order# was listed as suspended while the second higher order# was listed as on hold. I go check again earlier this evening and 38326XXX was gone from my order history, cancelled. But the other one is still there on hold expected to ship 11/11/2011.

Were they both 5 set orders? That would cancelling the later one (the higher number was the later one in the mint database). The ship date is totally bogus.PBGS always says that they will ship in two weeks from today, Often, the date keeps incrementing until it changes to in stock (which it really was all along).

clair- both of my orders were for one set only. I was just trying to get one set for the collection. I had no intention of ordering 5 at any time. Didn't think it was fair to shut out other collectors by hoarding the max I was allowed. That's why I was puzzled one was cancelled.
