Bryan1315 - Is the lid on the first image damaged?
What do you think of the case?

Bryan1315, if you can take a couple of pics of the box and post them that would be great. This will help those thinking of buying from ebay or elsewhere determine if posted images are real or faked. It looks like you are the first one here to have coins in hand. Congratulations! Whoa! I spoke too soon, great pics! It would still be nice if you could add a small pic of the shipping box. Thanks!

What do you think of the case? No damage to the case, I think what you are seeing is the white lining inside the box sticking out of the side because the front of the box folds down and there is a removable lining inside, the lining is sticking out a little from the folded down area. The case is awesome looking, made of heavy blue plastic with stars on the top of both sides Quote: does yours have a black spot on the coin under the "Y"? that was a particle from the black felt they had laying over the coins when you open the case, I see nothing wrong with any coin in the set so far

Plastic? What happened to; "All five coins are encapsulated and packaged in a single custom-designed, highly polished, lacquered hardwood presentation case and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity."http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...26&langId=-1

I seem to be in the "shipped today but UPS doesn't know it yet" category... Hopefully I won't have to send it back over and over as I have in the past with mint products.

I guess it could be wood but feels like plastic to me. I also see no sign of any COA in either of my boxes Quote: I seem to be in the "shipped today but UPS doesn't know it yet" category... Hopefully I won't have to send it back over and over as I have in the past with mint products.
when they delivered mine it wasn't even in the UPS system yet so no tracking was available Edit: the COA's are under the coins, I hadn't had time to examine the whole thing yet but as soon as I lifted the coins the COA's were under there

has no one else had theirs delivered yet? If so if you have opened the set what do you think of it. My first impression of the set once I opened the box was how big it was and once I picked one set up it was how heavy it was. I have sets of the Gold American Eagles including the 1995 and these are heavier than those sets and I guess that was the first thing that came to mind

Wow that is so awesome I can't wait for mine. What do you think of the quality of the individual coins? What do you think they would grade? Still very indecisive about whether to ship them off for grading or not.
Beautiful Set congrats at being #1

My dilemma is whether to sell it as a set of five, or break them up individually. Someone may pay dearly for the unopened box of five sets. Some people may pay as much, if not more for an individual set (cumulative, that is).

I guess the heavy weight comes from that wood box.
after seeing photos, I feel they are prettier in mint box than in slabs
