I have just received 3 coins from a friend. The coins are from Thailand and I can't translate the date to Gregorian Calender. Can anyone help please. The reference in front of the Krause does not show one of the figures (second from the left).

2 of the coins have this date...
Thai-Date-Translation-Help-Please
Which I think is 2*37

The other coin has this date...
Thai-Date-Translation-Help-Please
Which I think is 2*48

On looking at it again, the second character may be a 5, this would make the coins 2537 and 2548. If this correct, does anyone have a conversion for these?

Thank you in anticipation

Steve

It's been the 2500's in Thailand since AD 1957, so "5" for the second digit is always a good first guess, unless you know it's an older coin (and on many older coins, a different era was used).

The top date is indeed 2537 Buddhist Era, which is 1994. You've got it right on the lower date too: BE 2548 is AD 2005 - I don't think you'll find that one in Krause yet...
