Just wondering what they are worth? It is a picture of a guy throwing a javelin.

Thanks

"The 1992 one dollar coin commemorates the 25th Olympiad in the Spanish city of Barcelona and also honours the achievements of Australia's sporting women. The javelin thrower on the coin's reverse is the first woman other than the Queen and the Princess of Wales to appear on an Australian coin."

Good lookin 'guy' lol

I bought two continuous milling silver proof Barcelona dollars (in the long box) at the Sydney Coin Fair in 1992. I gave one of these to my sister, who is an active collector, the other I gave to my mother, who was also an active colletor of RAM products for about 12 years. I now have her collection.

She collected all of the known versions of the Barcelona dollar. Mc Donald lists them all.

The Royal Australian Mint (RAM) sold them for $35 each on the day. 2500 of the continuous milled long box version of the Barcelona dollar were produced.

These coins were valued in the catalogues at $350 a few years later, which I think were overpriced at that time. I have not really kept track of their value since then.
