Does anyone know anything about this coin's silver content? I know by default it is from the National Westminister Bank, but would like to know more if anyone can help.

I have one of the same that my mother got for me when she was in England in the late 80's/early 90's. A quick google shows that it has no silver content, it's cupronickel (copper and nickel). Still a great commemorative coin and I enjoy having it in my collection.

Hope this helps,

Steve

I have several sitting in a drawer at home, got them the year they were released, not sure mine has Westminster Bank on back though. For Royal weddings, Jubilees and other occasions these coins get given out to schoolkids and had a legal tender at the time of 25 to 50 pence and I know lot of kids spent them in the candy store. So if other poster hadn't said, I would have assumed no silver content. They wouldn't give us kids silver.

I kept mine and have a few, and I think of different designs too.
