This is another addition to my just-beginning large cents collection. I've only a handful so far, and they're all a mite the worse for wear (excessive wear or dug coins) but I'm okay with that, as many of you know from having seen some of my other sets.
Anyway, I've been trying to get the early dates first, and have been able to get - Liberty Cap: 1794, 1795, 1796 - Draped Bust: 1797, 1798, and this 1800.....it's a start. I posted photos in the member's photo galleries, if you'd care to view them (Ralph - Large Cents). Nothing great - just old.

Pics are a little fuzzy but she appears to have some nice detail. Hard to grade though. Nice old gal you got there.

Yeah, love these old draped busts. Maybe one day I'll end up with a complete set of cents from 1793-date. Thats my goal as of now

S-191 R-3 Nice coin, I like it. Left over die made in 1798 and not hardened that was overdated and then used in 1800.

The coin shows more detail in hand, but it's pretty dark - had to lighten the scan in order to bring up what detail is showing, so some of the detail shows weak, or not at all - scanners and old copper coins don't do well together. But, then, I've been using this scanner for nigh on eight years, and I use it quite alot, so I'm probably lucky it's still working at all (knock on wood).

John1 - I probably should have worded that different - something more on the line of no show-stoppers in the bunch, but you're right - they are great.

Thanks Condor101 - I googled up S-191, and read what's available - while not an uncommon occurance, it's still a nice find.
