I had a paragraph before the picture but its not their anymore? Anyways, I wanted to share this "Mowhawk" the picture isn't as hilarious as to looking at it with the naked eye, and get some feedback as to what happened to cause this. If you look above his hair at the very top it looks like a mirror image directly above his hairline "The Mowhawk". Thanks Sean.

My images are not coins. Just an overlay to show the position the dies are in to make coins. When there is no planchet between the dies the dies clash leaving an imprint of the field outline on the opposite dies. Usually in just some areas, other times it may affect a large part of the devices on the opposite die.

Thank you for giving me the ability to see what gave my "Mohawk" the great conversation piece when my friends ask me what I am doing when it takes me 30 minutes more to close the till (i help out Saturday and Sunday days at my local watering hole)and look at every coin that hits the till, pool table, nuts & m&m, jukebox, etc... just hard to find Half Dollars (what I have made my Crown Jewels of my new found hobby) I have a couple that I found in search of my first 1970-S large date but I guess I have to start new topic to add pictuers?
