I don't think it looks like the big one.

It looks different, but my guess would be PMD, die fatigue, or just age and use.

My guess is to worn to attribute.

On the big one, doubling can be seen on the feathers too. Don't see that here unfortunately, but keep looking at hoping you get lucky! it could happen!

Doesn't the "big one" have an obverse die crack as a diagnostic for dateless coins ?

I think you're thinking of the 1918/7 overdate, which usually has a big crack across the jaw.

Not a 1916/1916 DDO......... No Doubling of the 3rd-Feather (as noted before) can be seen.

I'm still looking to Cherrypick one !

A re-occurring dream of mine is finding an uncirculated roll of 1916/1916 DDO Buffaloes ! What are the true odds of that ?

There must be a few 1916/1916 Nickels out there tucked under floor boards of old houses - don't you think?
