Gyrene7483 Pillar of the Community United States 1704 Posts	Posted 09/13/2011 02:18 am Yesterday evening I met up with a guy and bought eight uncirculated Morgan dollars. Four are in the GSA cases, two 1882-CC, one 1883-CC and one 1884-CC, plus four out of Dansco and Whitman albums an 1879, 1881-CC, 1883-O and an 1888. These last four have really nice color to them and the 1883-O is an above average strike for the date. The 1888 is an end of roll coin and the reverse has a nicely toned reverse and the obverse has nice color creeping in toward the stars from the denticles. I'll post pictures of all eight tomorrow. This is the 1881-CC that went into my Morgan dollar date set. These are the GSA dollars two 1882's, two 1883's and an 1884. Here are the other ones, an 1879 in MS-62. An MS-63 1883-O with much better than average strike. The eagle's chest feather detail is superb but doesn't show well in the photo. It does have some hairlines not visible in the field in front of the face on the obverse but they really don't bother me as finding an 83-O with this kind of detail is difficult.
