My mum left me some coins and now I am getting around to investigating the worth etc.

I have an unopened roll of $1 1984 Jacques Cartier coins. There are 20 x $1 coins in the roll and it is still in original packaging from the Royal Canadian Mint.

Is this worth anything more than face value and if so whereabouts does one go to sell it?

Thanks for any help!

might have a bit of a premium..the roll could sell on ebay for mabye..30-40$..The coins aren't worth that much alone..about 1-2$ each. If you took them to a coin store they would just pay face or tell you to take them to the bank. Nickel dollars aren't really super collectable yet.

No known varieties for that year, other than a very small potential for an error coin. Being such a large, hard, heavy coin series, the odds of a MS-65 gem are slim. I bought my last couple of Cartier rolls for $25 from a coin dealer.

I am a nickel dollar collector and know the dealers who handle that series, send me an email (click on the link above my post), and I'll give you a few options where to best sell that roll.
