Do 1972 type 3 IKEs have any premium in vf30 up to au50? I just went roll hunting a ton of ikes and although I didnt find any type 2 1972 or any silvers I did find a crazy amount of good condition type 3 1972 IKEs.

PCGS has them listed at 15 bucks for a xf40 type 2. Is this old info or is this current?

Any thoughts or good news to make this roll hunting not be a total skunk would be appreciated :).

Check completed listings on ebay..the type III I believe is less scarce than the T-I...you want clean coins, free of planchet marks and hit marks...get the grading book "Making the Grade", for the best views of hotspots on obverse and reverse, to learn worst and best areas for marks, so-as to get best grades possible...each coin has certain hotspots, that de-value a grade, if in that major area..you also want to look for "First Strike", or, Early Die State coins, with die flow lines minimal at rim, and off letters, and, show nice original luster..
Good luck with them..72-D has some strong double dies, obverse and reverse, so learn those too.
