Hi - I recently saw one of these advertised. The set contains one proof 2010 gold buffalo, one silver buffalo, a buffalo silver bar and a replica buffalo note, all in the usual very nice brown suede box (albeit larger than usual!).

The sets are going for about $3000, limited to 500 sets when they were produced.

MY problem is, whilst it looks very nice, I can't seem to find any record of it on the internet as having ever been made!? Do any of yo guys have any info on this set at all?

Would really like to hear from you before I choose to buy, or not!

Regards

Jim

I don't know where you might have seen it advertised, but as quick Google search returned this:

2010-American-Buffalo-Premium-'Set'

Found at this site: http://www.numiscollect.eu/index.ph...577&c_id=598

And this;

https://www.doijerkalff.nl/american...et-2010.html

Although the set does appear to contain a legitimate U.S. Buffalo gold coin, and a 2001 silver Buffalo coin, the silver coin has lost its real numismatic value because of the gold plating. The rest is fluff. You won't necessarily find a "record" of it having been made since it is a "private issue", packaged by "some company'. The only thing of real value is the 2010 Gold Buffalo.

A nice looking set, but not worth the asking price.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Not sure about that set but from what whyflash stated sounds like a real rip off. Can't tell from the photo but even the box doesn't appear to expensive.
For that money I'd buy coin for my Albums.
