Found this coin in a pile of random coins I have, I have no idea what country it is from, at first I thought it looked Russian but now I'm not too sure..

it's from Thailand: I think it's one baht.
the bloke on the obverse is King Rama IX, also known as Bhumibol Adulyadej, currently the longest-reigning monarch in the world:

I've been to Thailand a few times: Bangkok, the south, the north, and every shop displays his portrait.
Thais handle their paper money with unsual reverence - because notes bear the King's portrait, and must be treated respectfully.

someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

The year is 2547 Buddhist Era, which converts to AD 2004.
