Didn't check the obverses as I was already certain. Here is another copy from the same die for sale on vcoins for $1500: http://www.vcoins.com/certifiednumi...dProduct=141 Any seller can pass the odd low value fake onto a customer but if a dealer is selling something worth $1500 they should have the decency to at least spend an hour in the internet looking for known fakes. If this coin is being offered by a Vcoins dealer, notify him that you suspect the coin as a fake. Most, if not all, dealers on Vcoins, subscribe to a high ethical standard. Once notified, if he does not remove the coin or give reason why the coin should be accepted as genuine, then he becomes suspect as well. I do not know the procedure for notifying Vcoins, but I'm sure I can find out. Keep us informed as to what happens. JW Report this Post to the Staff
