My Lincoln collection involves different strikes. I like the comparison and seeing what a good strike looks like. There is also some "completeness" about it.

I have the satins and they're nice . The bronze satins are very nice (makes me wish SF could do bronze all the time :)
I also have the 65/66/67 SMS. Now I want to buy the other Memorial SMS's. I just bought the 2011 P&D.

Looking on ebay I searched cent mint cello. Sorry, the search url won't paste correctly. Here's a link to a iffy one.

It looks too easy to fake, some pictured cents look nasty and I see differences in packaging (maybe).

Some of the sets look right but no closeup of the cents.

Please have a look and post any advice/comments you may have.

Thanks!

the dye may have been variable - the blue Phillys from the same envelope don't have the dye covering all of the "pibs" of the plastic. in my set the red covers all of the pibs

These sets could be faked but none of them are at this time. The cut sets would be even easier to fake but there is even less reason to do so. I'd make to suggestions; First, learn the characteristyics of the real ones now before fakes begin showing up and second avoid the sets others have cut up. People generally are going to remove the best coins so you'll get second best. It will probably be cheaper and you'll get better coins if you cut the sets yourself.

If you have good pictures and the coins look nice go ahead and buy them since it really doesn't matter if they are fake or not.

There is a lot of variability in the quality of the coins tht go into mint sets. Most are well struck but even this varies from coin to coin a little. The amount of marking and corrosion varies a lot.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
