We would need pictures to determine its grade in order to ascertain its value and whether or not its genuine.
But here are some values from the RedBook
In F $200, VF $400, EF $875, Uncirculated $2250

One graded by ngc in VF details (a problem coin) recently went for $354.99, that to me suggests that prices actualized at auction for problem free coins would likely be higher than the RedBook values.

Popularity.

There were over a million made and they are actually not hard to find in circulated grades. As long as you can afford one there is no problem getting one.
