I use the self-adhesive 2x2s because I prefer the look. I use Supersafe and have had pretty good luck. I did get a batch that seemingly were bad but the company replaced them all. The dollar size for dollar coins is not a winner though so avoid those. If the coin is a tighter fit, there just isn't enough surface area for the adhesive. I find keeping them in the pages helps a lot. When they split they actually seem to pull away from the cardboard and not from the layers of Mylar. In other words the coin stays encased in the Mylar 'envelope' while it pulls away from the paper. Anyway, I guess that is the cost of using these whereas for me the bonus is the look.
