I'm looking for the mintage of the 1939 Russia 2 Kopeks. Any help would be appreciated.

don't have a catalog at hand, and searching russian-language numismatic sites gives no info on mintage

but while searching I came upon this peculiar one:
http://cccp-coin.ru/2kop/28-2kop1939.html
it has a mintage of exactly "1"!

I find it rather odd that Krause does not list most of the mintages of USSR coins of that era

It isn't odd - mintage from the Soviet Union era has been pretty much a 'state secret'. You might get mintage for most of the coins that were marketed overseas such as commemorative coins but you will not find it for pretty much most of the circulating / circulated Soviet and Russian coins.

Imagine how bad it would look if mintage figures were released and it suggests massive inflation - people would spread rumors and it gets snowballed.
