Hello everyone, this is probably the largest coin I have in terms of gold content- larger than the sovereign (don't own 1oz gold coins). I was wondering if anybody would be able to give me an approximate value on the coin?

Also, it was in uncirculated condition, but I took it out of its paper packaging, and made a pendant of it (18k gold casing) which is attached to my gold chain. There will probably be a few marks on it now, but would it be possible to grade it? Would I need to put up photos? Thank you!

Having been turned into a piece of jewellery, and damaged from having been worn, it wouldn't be worth anything extra to a coin collector - its value is entirely in its gold content (currently $512 for the coin itself, plus whatever amount you used to make the bezel).

Thank you for your answer! How about a 1980 Isle of Man gold proof coin that has been taken out of its clear plastic packaging?

Bullion buyers will pay for intristic value of the metal content of these gold coins
