It resembles a russian coin, since Albania is part of the Soviet union & had similar coins.

@ Unique Antique Gallery- Actually, Albania was NEVER part of the Soviet union. It did however have a short alliance with the Soviets until shortly after the death of Josef Stalin in 1953. When the Soviet Union started to divert from Stalin's policies, Albania's hardline communist leader Enver Hoxha severed ties with the Soviets. Back on topic, it certainly appears to be an Albanian coin, I just can't tell what denomination. It does however, look to be a pre-communist issue though. It's too worn and corroded to make a proper ID. Sorry.

Albanians have a lek. In the neighborhood (not direct neighbors though) Bulgarians have a lev, and Romanians & Moldovans have lei.

"Ley" you will see on Mexican silver coins.
